The surface layer of microfiber synthetic leather is polyurethane like PU, but its coating has many micropores compared to PU, which mimics the grain structure of genuine leather.

Polyurethane and the base together form a three-dimensional network structure with no foam layer in the middle. Therefore, after the leather is created, it has better moisture absorption and air permeability than PVC leather and PU leather. In addition, due to the higher process cost, it is usually used with better quality. The polyurethane resin plastic additive and higher quality base have many properties, including wear resistance, mechanical properties, colorfastness, etc. are far superior to PU leather.

 After understanding what is super fiber synthetic leather, how can we distinguish what is good super fiber synthetic leather? Generally speaking, the thicker the base, the better the super fiber synthetic leather. Super-fiber leather with a large thickness has better tensile strength, better abrasion resistance, is not easy to be brittle and hardened, and has better mechanical properties.

  Regarding the difference between super-fiber synthetic leather and genuine leather, excellent super-fiber leather has surpassed most low-end leather in strength and service life. And the color, appearance, and feel are very close to real leather. Only in terms of air permeability, moisture absorption, cold resistance, and elasticity, it can't catch up with leather. So if the pursuit of leather is durable, microfiber leather is more suitable than genuine leather. The price is usually only about 1/3 of genuine leather.
