What's the difference between genuine leather and leather

Leather is the natural and original animal skin, which is non-renewable and is used after surface treatment. Leather vs genuine Leather

Touching by hand: that is, touching the surface of the leather by hand, the genuine leather has a smooth, soft, plump, and elastic feeling, and the leather: the surface of the general artificial synthetic leather is astringent, rigid, and poor in softness.

Seeing with your eyes: Seeing is mainly used to identify the type of leather and the quality of the leather grain. Please observe that the surface of the genuine leather has noticeable pores and patterns, while the synthetic leather also imitates the pores, but it is not clear. The reverse side of the synthetic leather has a layer of the textile as the bottom plate to increase the tensile strength of the leather, while the reverse side of the genuine leather does not have this layer of textiles. This identification is the easiest and most practical way.

Smell: All genuine leather smells like leather, and artificial leather has a strong plastic smell.

Ignition: tear off a little fiber from the back of natural leather and artificial leather. After ignition, if it emits a pungent smell and forms lumps, it is artificial leather; if it smells of hair and does not form hard lumps, it is genuine leather.
